Gerry’s interest in clocks started back in the early 1970’s when he was serving in the United States Army in Germany and was introduced to antique clocks by a fellow serviceman. Collecting clocks became a primary interest, and when he returned home from serving he started to learn about proper clock care. As Gerry approached retirement, it became important to him to improve his clock repair skills through formal education in clock care. In 2011 he completed the year-long clock maker program at the NAWCC School of Horology in Columbia, Pennsylvania. Upon completion of that program, he offered clock repair services and sales at Scuttlebutt Antiques in Warren, ME until that location closed in October of 2018. He has been a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC) since 1974.
